Advanced Activity ColorCoding
You know how Act! colorcodes your activities based on the priority of the activity (red for high, etc). Advanced Activity ColorCoding allows you to do the same based on the user the activity is scheduled for OR the type of activity OR the priority.
Coloring activities based on the user they are scheduled for
If you choose this option, you'll need to assign a color to all users of the database (or leave it at black, the default). Once this is done:
- you'll be able to colorcode the existing activities
- every time you'll open the Schedule Activity window, the color will be preselected and will change according to your color assignments if you change the Scheduled For user.
Coloring activities based on the type of activity
You may also choose to colorcode based on the type of activity. This include the default types (call, meeting, to-do, etc.) and any activity type you may have created.
Coloring activities based on the priority of the activity
Isn't that what Act! already does? Indeed but using Advanced Activity ColorCoding, gives you a couple of extra features:
- First, you can choose to assign any color you want to the priorities
- Second and more importantly, once you assign a color to a priority, even if you change the color once, the next time you open the Schedule Activity window, it will default back to yoour color assignment. Act! will use the same color as your last activity.
Not allowing the user to change the activity color manually
If you don't want your users to be able to manually change the color, therefore to force them to stick with your color assignments, you can do so. It is an option in the window.
