Upgrading from Excel Quote-Invoice Maker

In Excel Quote-Invoice Maker II, templates are now regular Excel files. They don't contain macros anymore (you can add your own macros but the program does not require macros anymore).

To upgrade your previous templates, open them in Excel Quote-Invoice Maker (not Excel Quote-Invoice Maker II) as if you wanted to edit them and save them as .xslx files. Since these files contain macros, Excel will give you a choice to save as a macro-free workbook or not. Click yes, as you don't need the macros anymore.

If you already have uninstalled EQIM, change the extension of the template from .XCT/.XYT/.XGT/.XOT to .XLS. Then open it with Excel and save it as .xlsx files as explained above.

Then open the template for editing in Excel Quote-Invoice Maker II and replace, if any, the opportunity and product placeholders (The ones that start with "[[P:") as well as the AutoNumber and Today's date placeholders. Then save.

If you used buttons in your layout, they will have to be recreated.
