Creating a template is not more complicated than inserting field placeholders in cells.
In the following video, we show you how to create a new template from scratch, although you might find it easier to modify
an existing template supplied with the add-on. When viewing the video, please note how we are able to put several placeholders in the same cell and insert text (a comma in this case) in between them.
In fact, you have all the flexibility of the world. The placeholders that you insert are simply blocks of text and they can be formatted like regular text. Whatever formatting you apply to a placeholder
will be inherited by the data that will replace it in the final document.

- You cannot just rename an existing Excel document with one of the special extensions used by Advanced Excel Templates to
make it an Excel Template. See the other topic called Converting an existing Excel document.
- If you close the ACT! Mail Merge Fields window that pops up automatically when opening a template and you need to re-open it,
look for the ACT! Mail Merge Fields command under the proper menu (depends on your Excel version, see the topic called Location of the menu items added by the add-on in Excel).
