Regular Advanced Queries are very powerful. For instance, they allow you to search data which could be in several fields in one operation.
Let's say you have 5 fields containing the same type of data and want to search for data contained in one of the 5 fields, what do you do?
Well, you need to create an advanced query by going to Lookup>Advanced>Advanced Query in ACT!. In the example below, we created a query which searches for the word "Panasonic" in any of the 5 fields (see the OR operator linking the different criteria).
The problem is that ACT! forces you to enter the value you're searching for. So if you'd need to run the same query for the word "Samsung", you would have to reopen the existing query and change "Panasonic" for "Samsung".
With Interactive Advanced Queries, instead of entering a value, you enter a parameter called "PromptForValue" (you may enter as many as 10 parameters, see the next topic).
NOTE: Because in this interactive query, we used the same parameter 5 times, we will be prompted for a single value. The label references the first field the parameter is associated with.
