Types of reports you can produce

Below are the type of export reports you can produce. If you find it confusing, run the demo reports included with the add-on and you will likely immediately understand what is explained below.

NOTE: Starting with v. 13.0.0.3, an icon is also added under the History, Note, Activity and Opportunity tabs of the details view.

From the Contact List view

• Contact Reports

  • Contact reports can only be created and launched from the Contact List view.
  • Contact reports may only contain contact fields (mandatory) and company fields (optional).
  • They are typically used to produce lists of contacts.
  • Each row of the report will be a contact. If you include company fields, the company data will be coming from the contact's company record.

• Contact Note Reports

  • Contact Note reports can only be created and launched from the Contact List view.
  • Contact Note reports may only contain note and contact fields (both mandatory), as well as company fields (optional).
  • Each row of the report will be a note. If you include company fields, the company data will be coming from the note contact's company record.
  • If you don't want the data from the contact to be repeated for each note of the same contact, check the No Repeat box in the Report Settings window.

From the Company List view

• Company Reports

  • Company reports can only be created and launched from the Company List view.
  • Company reports may only contain company fields (mandatory) and contact fields (optional).
  • They are typically used to produce lists of Companies or Company Membership reports (listing the contacts belonging to the companies).
  • If you only include company fields, each row of the report will be a company.
  • If you include contact fields as well, each row will be a contact with data from the company. If you don't want the data from the company to be repeated for each contact of the same company, check the No Repeat box in the Report Settings window.

• Company Note Reports

  • Company Note reports can only be created and launched from the Company List view.
  • Company Note reports may only contain note and company fields (both mandatory) and contact fields (optional).
  • Each row of the report will be a note with data from the company.
  • If you include contact fields as well and multiple contacts are associated with the note, the contact data will be coming from the note's first contact.
  • If you don't want the data from the company to be repeated for each note of the same company, check the No Repeat box in the Report Settings window.

From the Group List view

• Group Reports

  • Group reports can only be created and launched from the Group List view.
  • Group reports may only contain group fields (mandatory) as well as contact and company fields (optional).
  • They are typically used to produce lists of Groups or Group Membership reports (listing the contacts belonging to the groups).
  • If you only include group fields, each row of the report will be a group.
  • If you include contact fields as well, each row will be a contact with data from the group. If you don't want the data from the group to be repeated for each contact of the same group, check the No Repeat box in the Report Settings window.

  • If you don't want the data from the group to be repeated for each note of the same group, check the No Repeat box in the Report Settings window.

From the Opportunity List view

• Opportunity Reports

  • Opportunity reports can only be created and launched from the Opportunity List view.
  • Opportunity reports may only contain opportunity fields (mandatory) as well as product, contact and company fields (optional).
  • They are typically used to produce sales reports.
  • If you only include opportunity fields, each row of the report will be an opportunity.
  • If you include product fields as well, each row will be a product with data from the opportunity. If you don't want the data from the opportunity to be repeated for each product of opportunity, check the No Repeat box in the Report Settings window.
  • If you include contact or company fields as well, each row will still be an opportunity or product (depending on whether you included a product field) with data from the contact and his/her company. If multiple contacts are associated with the opportunity, the first contact by alphabetical order of last name will be exported.

• Opportunity Note Reports

  • Opportunity Note reports can only be created and launched from the Opportunity List view.
  • Opportunity Note reports may only contain note and opportunity fields (both mandatory).
  • Each row of the report will be a note.
  • If you don't want the data from the opportunity to be repeated for each note of the same opportunity, check the No Repeat box in the Report Settings window.

From the Task List view

• Activity Reports

  • Activity reports can only be created and launched from the Task List view.
  • Activity reports may only contain activity, contact and company fields.
  • Each row of the report will be an activity.

From the History List view

• History Reports

  • History reports can only be created and launched from the History List view.
  • History reports may only contain history, contact and company fields.
  • Each row of the report will be a history.
