Creating an AutoNumber

It is very easy to create a new AutoNumber scheme.

There are only a few steps:

  • You choose a name for your AutoNumber;
  • You select a target field (the field the number will be written to);
  • You enter your number syntax (see the other topic on this subject);
  • You type the next number to be used (you can use leading zeros as shown in the video);
  • You decide whether you want it to run automatically when a new record is created or not;
  • And you choose to display a prompt (confirmation screen).
