The DB Plugin for Act! is the Act! addon you were waiting for to manage your Documents tab using Dropbox. If you're attaching documents to the Documents tab, you know how they increase the size of your database and backups and of your synchronization packets.
With the development of online storage services, storing your attached documents in the database is not the best solution anymore. The DB Plugin for Act! allows you to easily upload your files to Dropbox and only attach a 1KB shortcut file to your Act! records.
Very easy to use
We simply added another menu item to your Add document... button.
The plugin gives you the possibility to delete the file at the same time from Act! and Dropbox, to view the remote file properties and to copy the URL of the remote file.
Simple setup
There is nothing to set up except the Dropbox folder where you want to upload your documents.
