Quotes and invoices can be created faster with the help of right-click menu items and buttons under the Opportunities tabs.
You'll find Create Quote or Invoice the new menu items in the right-click menus of the different opportunity grids (whether under the Opportunities tabs in the Contact, Company and Group Detail views or in the Opportunity List view) as well as buttons (Opportunities tab only).
To use these menu items or buttons, you need to select an opportunity first (you can select more than one under an Opportunities tab but only one in the Opportunity list view). Then the process will be the same as usual, except that you will bypass the opportunity selection window.
Note: if you click the original icon on the ACT! toolbar at the top, it behaves exactly as before, meaning it ignores any selection you might have made under the opportunity tab.
